 Meeting 1201 – 20th August, 2009

(Produced by Graham Mackie)

The Bullcreek Air Force Hall was the venue for meeting 1201. It was well attended for a wet night but most T Types stayed at home.

We started at 7.30 with the flourish of a stock whip by stand–in Chairman, Tony Coldwell to hear a most entertaining 'boys own adventure story' from the son of Percy Markham. Clark Rees, our host for the night, introduced his friend Barry Markham who has written a superb book titled 'Solo to England' the story of the first Tiger Moth flight from Australia to England, with Barry as its pilot.

I took notes but decided not to repeat the details as it would be best if you bought a book like most of us did.

Apologies I heard were Sherrell, Bowles, Partridge and Pyles.

Minutes of Mtg. 1200 were adopted with the inclusion of mention of a header rail at the request of David Rose who is still seeking one.
