 Meeting 1209 – 12th  December, 2009

(Produced by Graham Mackie)

Meeting 1209 was originally planned for Chittering where lambs are bred by the Lambies but concensus moved it back a couple of days so we could show our wives, girlfriends etc. just what we do on a Thursday night and at the same time enjoy the annual XpagMAS Party, this year at the Rankin Ranch amongst the trees of leafy Maida Vale.  I'm unsure if they were impressed when they saw a meeting that keeps hubby out for hours, sorted out in a few minutes. There may now be a few questions asked but time will tell.

Graham R. welcomed all, explained procedures , said if anything was wrong, blame the wife, don't choke on a sausage and we were off and bbq-ing. The salads and sweets were superb and he promised to wash the recyclable plates for next year..

Pres JB thanked the Rankins and workers that had prepared the feast and welcomed visitor Mary from the UK, who had known Darryl for many years.

A set of abbreviated minutes were read and adopted and matters arising revealed the fact that pres JB was a birthday boy, having turned 65 last  Wednesday.

Special Business

Harry P was attending his 500th meeting tonight. For his first 11 years it was 100% attendance with car  but shiftwork then got in the way.

Early Morning Run. Morris P. has arranged the next run for 10th January , departing Burswood carpark at 7.30am, with a breakfast at East Fremantle Yacht Club  (north end of Petra Street) @ $18 pp. It includes cereal, fruit, juice, toast, croissants, bacon, chipolatas, eggs etc, tea and percolated coffee with a superb bonus view of the  Swan River thrown in. Parking suggested opposite Graham M's home with a five minute walk to the Club and retreat there for afters.

Peter Scott, a Taswegian owner of a TC and a TA visited two members this week

Chris B found a fellow with a TC, a Tiger Moth and a Velocette. A suggested Christmas present for Clark R. is the Velo but then he would have the trio plus a boat.

Master cylinders have been slightly delayed thru Darryl insisting on early morning service to the Kombi.

Ron's Y Type is for sale at offers around $17,500    Meeting closed 7.30ish.

Next Meeting  is 1210 on 7th January at the Pavlinovich Retreat
