General Business

New Member. Mike S.  introduced Phil Wells, the new owner of the Ed Farrar TC. Phil was welcomed into the club by Pres. JB with the offer of technical and any other advice by all members.

Phil responded by saying he "was lookig forward to a long and happy involvement with the Club and asked for all to wish him luck". Mike confirmed that all parts seemed to 'be there'

Previous Member. Ralph K. was delighted to announce the return of his brother (previously  a Club member),from the USA, next March and he is bringing in one of the three 40's and one 20 foot container, an MG TD – a beautiful model and another great addition to the Club (Editor). Free joining fee said Tresurer Col. As it should be for a TD.

Club Calendars. Treasurer Col advised that the brand new first edition Collectors item Club Calendar was still very much available. An audit however had shown two were missing without a contribution from whoever. He still has a pile of 63 and is keen not to have to carry the box to every meeting, nor see a deterioration of club funds. Please help the cause with your early purchase to ensure Club finances don't suffer and also ensure this great innovation can continue. Worth the miserable $15  for the August picture alone and you still have 10 months of joyous pride with you or your car in technicoloured print,  to go. You can enter the additional event dates from this Newsletter straight away as well in your neatest print

Club Port. Orders are being taken with delivery when Bert and Angie return

Brian Darke's TC still for sale in Queensland's Gold Coast  at $36,500.

Garry G's Trailer sold to a fellow that will transport two Quad bikes. Still getting phone calls

Meeting 1152 will be held 6th September at Peter G's home at, Woodlands

Overheard at the meeting.

One night after our couple had retired for the night, the wife became aware that her husband was touching here in a most unusual manner

He started by running his hand across her shoulders and the small of her back. He ran his hand over her breasts, touching them very lightly, then proceeded to run his hand gently down her side, sliding his hand over her stomach , and then down the other side to a point below her waist.

He continued on, feeling her hips, first one side and the other. His hand ran further down the outside of her thighs. He continued up the inside of her left thigh, stopped and returned to do the same to her right thigh.

By this time, the wife was becoming aroused and she squirmed a little to better position herself. The man stopped abruptly and rolled over to his side of the bed.

"Why are you stopping Darling" she whispered.

He whispered back "I found the remote"

Also Overheard

‘What’s the secret of your long marriage?’

‘Keeping it romantic’ was the reply.

‘Once a week my wife and I go out for a romantic dinner.

I like Italian, but I don’t know where she goes.’

Thing’s you will never hear a woman say

Ooooohhh!! This diamond is much too big!!

Is that phone call for me? Tell them I’m not here.
